Mike McCarthy has been behind the decks for over 20 years. What started as a personal passion slowly evolved into something deeper, a way to bring people together, build energy in a room, and share music that creates real connection.

Known as DJ McLov3n, Mike’s journey began at house parties and lakehouse gatherings with friends, as well as rooftop sessions and private events in Austin. Over time, his sets became a regular presence in the local underground scene, from dance floors at venues like the Sapien Center and Passion Theatre to the open skies of Burning Man.

Each event was another step, another chance to connect. And in 2025, that path led to one of the most sought-after festival stages in the country: the Honeycomb Stage at Electric Forest.

But for Mike, this isn’t a career pivot. It’s an expression of something that’s always been there. Music is a language he’s spoken for decades , and now he’s choosing to share it more openly.

His live sets are grounded in rhythm, flow, and joy, mixing deep house, tribal textures, and melodic grooves into a sound that moves the body and invites the crowd into the moment.
